What you can rely on, where the numbers come from, and how to be a good citizen.
Limits
| Rate limit | 60 requests / minute / IP across /mcp and /api/v1/*. Headers: x-ratelimit-*. |
| Caching | Prices 60s · search 5min · trending 2–3min · new pools 60s · contract scans 10min. During provider outages we serve stale data for up to 15min and flag it with stale: true. |
| Auth | None. Anonymous and free while the product is validated. Keys with higher limits will come later. |
| Stability | Response shapes are versioned under /api/v1 and will not change incompatibly without a new version. |
Data sources
| CoinGecko | Search, prices, market caps, coin metadata, global stats, trending searches. |
| GeckoTerminal | DEX pools, liquidity reserves, trending and new pools, address lookups across chains. |
| GoPlus Security | Contract-level checks: honeypot, mintable, ownership, taxes, holders, LP locks (EVM chains and Solana). |
